Twisting of the spermatic cord with compromise of the blood supply to the testis. An uncommon affliction that is most commonly seen in adnlescent males. A few cases occurs in infancy.
CLINICAL FEATURE
Pain in one testicle
Nausea and vomiting
Abnormal life of the testis on the opposite side
Swollen, high lying testis with reddening of the scrotal skin.

Testicular tumour
Insect bite
Inflammatory vasculities etc.
COMPLICATIONS
Infertility
Abnormal sperm count
Testicular atrophy etc.

Colour doppler sonography
TREATMENT
Detorsion
Fixation of the testis to prevent recurrence
